Sandriver art cashmere flagship store in Shanghai was upgraded and opened grandly on 20th October. It’s been eight years that Sandriver has absorbed shanghai culture and showed to countless brand lovers the cashmere culture from Inner Mongolia. At F/W 2019, Sandriver will undergo a new transformation.

Located at the Bund which has witnessed centuries of shanghai history, it can hear the prosperity and changes over the times,and witness the overlapping of the new and the old along the huanpu river. With a profound understanding of shanghai cuture and Inner Mongolia culture, now sandriver has realized the aesthetic integration of craftsmanship and arts between tradition and modernity. In the past eight years, sandriver has continuously brought amazing unique and bespoke works to consumers.

At the event site, I could feel the strong atmosphere in the upgraded flagship store. Sandriver not only provides a place for shopping, but a comprehensive experience space for boutique retail, gallery, theater and theme salon.

The new flagship store traces the brand back to its roots and initial intention, returning to the essence of the Sandriver. Presented by the ways of sand and river, abstract and modern, the desert sand transported by air from the xiangsha bay in Inner Mongolia and the curved steps are a reflection of Sandriver nature.

On October 20, hundreds of honored guests came to the flagship store to enjoy live performance of the morin khuur, which is one of the treasures of Inner Mongolia, to experience the hand-painting of the illustration artist, and to witness the upgrading of sandriver flagship store in shanghai.

To coincide with the re-launch of the flagship store, Sandriver autumn/winter 2019 cashmere ready-to-wear collection was also launched at the store's runway. The guests sat on the stairs on the first floor to enjoy the show. In the space full of Sandriver brand atmosphere, the ballerinas dressed in soft and fine cashmere garments danced to start the show of Sandriver new collection, which was unique experience to present the in a vivid way of brand power.

Sandriver autumn/winter 2019 ready-to-wear takes the conflict and integration of "hardness" and "softness" as the theme, and presents different artistic cashmere works through deconstruction, arts, women and lifestyle. The collection are presented in four themes which are "beauty of ballet", "autumn", "poetic garden" and "golden age". The four themes also indicates the four different female qualities of the new era. This is also the core value of the brand integrated by the vast and hard sand from Inner Mongolia and the trickling river from Shanghai.

"The beauty of ballet" is elegant and vivid, drawing the outline of a woman's soft and strong figure through simple and clear color blocks and geometric lines. At the same time, the irregular shapes and lines give the whole collection a feel of artistic beauty.

"Autumn”collection is mostly in camel color and earth color, presenting a warm feeling in autumn day.

The "poetic garden" takes the softness of cashmere to its extreme, combining low-saturation colors like grey and grass green to evoke a lazy afternoon garden.

"Golden age" perfectly interprets the independence and character of women in the new era. With delicate high-end lace from France and newly developed plant dyeing technology, this product line has become unique works of 2019 AW collection.
